I am new to couponing and can’t wait to hit Walgreen’s on my shopping trip this Friday. I think I have it planned out right and will only be spending around $10 OOP and will end up with about $9 in RR to use on a second transaction 🙂 I have my binder ready to go so far my best shopping trip was for 1 item only, used a $4 off Air Wick coupon, Target had them on sale for $4.50, paid 97 cents 🙂
Happy couponing!!!

I am looking forward to saving as much money as I can couponing so I can spoil my grandkids rotten! I am brand new to couponing and look forward to sitting down with my inserts, my scissors and binder each week. I love it when I get something for next to nothing. I haven’t scored the ‘big freebies’ yet, but I’m working on it! 🙂

My most re-memorable shopping trip was back in spring of this year at wal mart. A friend and I armed with our binders, lists, and competitor ads had an awesome shopping experience. We spent over five hours in the store, one of those just checking out. This trip was the one and only hassle free times I have had at the super-center. I spent OOP 92$, thirty of it was on 50lb of sugar. This was my first major trip using coupons.. I used around 98$ worth of coupons. I saved over 400$ on my bill using the price match guarantee. Then my friend used around 160$ plus coupons to bring down her bill. We were on cloud nine as we maneuvered our three full to the rim buggies out of the store. Our goods filled the back of her truck up, and this wonderful experience happened before they gave overage. Now present day is a whole other story.

Joanna Phalen · July 27, 2011 at 11:27 am

My favorite couponing experience was getting about $90 of products completely free!!

Elki C · July 27, 2011 at 12:56 pm

Mom of 5 here, new to couponing and ready to save! They will all be starting school this year so Mommy has lots of shopping to do :). It will be a busy year so I am organizing my coupon binder NOW.
Finding a clearance rack at Kohl’s and using my $10 off $50 purchase has been my biggest save so far.

sarah mcreynolds · July 27, 2011 at 1:23 pm

The time I saved the most money was recently when I bought a dress at Target for $7. It was on 75% clearance. I also bought an ice cream maker for $2.

My mom and I started “COUPONING” on the same day last week (7-24-2011) and after getting everything on the list we needed we ended up saving around 60 bucks! I know that isn’t much but for two people who knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about COUPONS I was SOOO EXCITED! Now we are planning on taking day every month to COUPON together, how is that for a MOTHER-DAUGHTER DAY! We are spliting everything down the middle then whatever is odd we take turns picking our favorite items until they are all gone. We are just starting out and don’t have many coupons and would LOVE LOVE TO WIN ANY COUPONS! Thank you for this giveaway and if I win..I will be sure to send you a photo of how much fun and sweating we have COUPONING on Mother-Daughter day! 🙂

jennifer Lapina · July 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm

The most memorable couponing experience i have had thus far has been vacation shopping. I had about $100 worth of snacks and goodies for my family’s road trip. My husband started complaining it was taking too long. 15 Minutes of inputting coupons and price matching, my total came out to 5.77. Needless to say my husband said that anytime i wanted to coupon he would gladly babysit our daughter. Grocery shopping is now my “alone” time!

Maureen English · July 27, 2011 at 3:18 pm

I am new at couponing. I did save $15.00 in coupons at my military commissary and I thought that was good 🙂 I am looking forward to getting better at couponing and saving our family of 6 a lot more money. We have 2 in college now and 1 in high school and 1 in 8th grade and money is tight! I am learning a lot though.

Marie Gabler · July 27, 2011 at 7:43 pm

My husband always teases me about my coupons, so my best memory would be from a few weeks ago. I was able to save us $80 off a new grill using an in-store coupon, a pharmacy credit coupon and negotiating the price down (they were out of the advertised grill so I got them the give the same discount on a better model!). Now my husband always asks me “Do you have a coupon for this?” lol

Heather Langdon · July 27, 2011 at 10:44 pm

My most memorable shopping trip was at Fry’s probably about a year ago! I was new to couponing and remember being so extremely excited when I left the store saving over 90%! I went home and made my boyfriend guess which items were free or nearly free!! That was when I hooked my boyfriend onto couponing! Hook, line and sinker!! =) We recently moved and no longer have double coupons! (boo!) Time to learn some new tricks and to finally get the hang of CVS and Walgreens

Paula Lee · July 27, 2011 at 11:13 pm

I just recently started back couponing after several years off. My location is horrible but anything saved helps 🙂 My most memorable time saving $$ was when my husband and I were furnishing our 1st. home. I managed to find some places that handled scratch & dent items and furnished our home beautifully, a couple pieces at a time, for CHEAP. And nobody knew but us 😀

kathy ott · July 27, 2011 at 11:16 pm

Courtnay · July 27, 2011 at 8:11 pm

I am fairly new to couponing and I am hooked. I love reading about all the people who are blogging and finding deals to help others out. I really appreciate everything that everybody does just to help others out. My best trip would be one of my first trips, and that was at Target where I got around $75.00 of household merchandise (including dog treats and HBA) for only $15.71. It was quite and experience and from then I was hooked.

maria myers green · July 27, 2011 at 8:16 pm

I stopped by a grocery store to pick up eggs and orange juice and noticed a sign for b1g1 makeup that I wasn’t aware of and looked in my coupon binder and found coupons to stack… I got over $150 worth of makeup and they owed me 57 cents (got the eggs and oj free with overage!)

Lynne · July 27, 2011 at 8:44 pm

I had a great Walgreens experience in February of this year. Thanks to rolling Register Rewards and having plenty of coupons (thanks to scoring extra inserts from folks at church that weren’t going to use them) I was able to purchase enough deodorant and shampoo for our family to last 6 to 8 months….and have an even larger amount to donate to the church’s food pantry.
We need to be careful with our funds (not the greatest economy for hubby to start a business) so couponing has really helped me stay within my budget and still be able to donate to our food pantry. Yay!

Jenny Poeppelman · July 27, 2011 at 8:52 pm

The first time I really “couponed” was at CVS. I had a $1 off coupon for Dove’s Men+Care deoderant and it was on sale for a $1. I was so excited and excited I had 4 coupons:) My husband was shocked and happy! I am new to using coupons and get excited when I save money. I am excited to make care packages to my brother in Montana! If I get enough stock pile I want to donate items to the Red Cross! I hope I can!!!

Amanda Bupp · July 27, 2011 at 9:35 pm

Thanks for everything!

Stacie · July 27, 2011 at 10:58 pm

I am new to couponing. My husband just had fusion on his lower back and I am out of work not getting paid to take care of him so hoping to start saving for him and my 2 children.

ROSEMARIE GLADE · July 27, 2011 at 11:02 pm

I extreme coupon and choose a charity every other week or so to donate the products to. I have helped homeless, veterans, battered women and children, and people in recovery trying to better themselves. It has truly been a gift from God to be able to bless others, especially since I too was homeless about 3 years ago. There’s no better feeling than helping someone less fortunate! Last week I had my biggest trip ever: total savings $738.00 and I paid out of pocket $39 and some change. Amazing, these items are going to help a transitional home and a shelter for pregnant teens. I often buy these coupons on ebay so I do spend money that way but still the savings are tremendous. It would be nice to win the coupons so I could save that money and put it into even more donations. Thanks so much:)

Lisa Paquette · July 28, 2011 at 12:14 am

I am very new at couponing, but I’m really enjoying learning! Today, I saved 37% at Safeway today using coupons and then got a free box of Nesquik cereal at Walmart. What I’m looking forward to most is getting my savings percentage up a lot higher than 37%. Blogs and FB sites like yours are a MASSIVE help – thanks for helping me (and everyone else) learn how to really save :o)

Cathy Goheen · July 28, 2011 at 1:13 am

I got my binder together and I am going to try my hand at using coupons at CVS tomorrow. I am really interested in saving money and I look at every site to get ideas and help. Keep up the great work!!

Tonya Martinez · July 28, 2011 at 1:35 am

I have always used coupons here and there… saving at least 30% on every trip without going of my way. However, my niche is clothing. I have 1 teenage boy & 1 preteen boy. They like name brand clothes but I don’t like name brand prices. I just bought them both dress shirts at Nordstroms – marked down from $120 each to $16.97. My favorite is buying jeans at Pac Sun at the end of every school year for the next year… marked down from $45 or so to $5 or $6. I love getting clothing deals!

Susan D'Alesandro Wilder · July 28, 2011 at 4:09 am

Best deal lately was when I had a 75% off Staples Coupon for any HP Print Paper, stacked with the $1.00 off any HP Colorlok Printer Paper coupon, ended up paying $1.12, for a premium pack of HP Colorlok Printer paper-originally $8.99 a pack! Made my day, plus I did it x’s 2, so for $2.24 I got 2 Packs of the HP Colorlok Printer paper!!

Sharlene Morani · July 28, 2011 at 6:23 am

First, thank you for such a wonderful giveaway!! Ok, let’s see, I think one of my most memorable couponing times would have to have been my first time I shopped with coupons at WAGS. I have been couponing for about 4 months so I am still very new. Well I went to WAGS armed with my coupon bag and my shopping list that I had created with the help of a few blogs I follow. I can’t recall all the exact items I purchased but I know I had body wash, deodorant, razors, hairbands, toothpaste, toothbrushes and some candy and maybe a few other things. I ended up doing several transactions and when I got home I set up my haul took a pic and sat down to figure out my total OOP and total savings. Not sure of the exact totals but this is pretty close, my total before coupons came to $181 and some change. Total OOP was $ 37 and some change. Plus I have $5 in RR for the next time, I know I had taken advantage of the Proglide Razors deal and most of my items ended up free or under $2 after coupons but before using the RR’s. I was so excited and that cinched the deal I WAS HOOKED. I would love to win coupons since my bag is getting pretty empty, I was unable to get the paper for the last 3 weeks and my Redplum inserts don’t come in our paper in comes with the sales ads in the mail and its a gamble as to whether I get them or not….someone keeps taking them before I get to them!! Thank you again for this absolutely awesome giveaway and GOOD LUCK to all!!!

I am new to couponing but am so looking forward to all the savings I know I will find. Thank You

Kathleen Southern · July 28, 2011 at 5:01 pm

I am new to couponing also, at the beginning of July I went to four stores and saved $120.00 now, that might not seem a lot, but it flabbergasted my family. We are on a fixed income and I am heading back to school, I did not do any kind of special extreme couponing, I just did normal dollar off this dollar off that sort of thing. I am very excited by this situation and went and bought a coupon binder and have organized and downloaded hundreds of coupons pertaining to things my family actually eats. I needed some extra leeway in our budget to allow for me to not work and go to school and over time, I believe these sort of savings will really make that difference.

Carolyn Smith · July 28, 2011 at 5:13 pm

most memorable was a Walgreens deal online for diapers and at the time was soooo neeeded with three little ones another time was double coupons at our grocery store but alas we no longer have that store and not a single other store has ever had doubles

Stacy Fields · July 28, 2011 at 5:16 pm

I’ve used coupons here & there over the yrs, but really just thought it was a waste in the end……UNTIL, my best friend took me to the loft of her condo…..she is a super couponer & now has me hooked. I’m not doing as well as I know I can, I just need to get it more organized. But I’m on the road to saving & I know this would help alot!

I am new to couponing as well and have ALOT to learn! lol But, my most memorable day(s) would have to be at Kohls….being a cardholder with them is awesome. One day I got 3000 dollars worth for 500, plus I got back 100 dollars in Kohls cash! I was excited about it

Hayley Clark · July 29, 2011 at 12:43 pm

I just started couponing, and I’m going pretty slow. But I’m really looking forward to figuring out the GREAT deals I can get and I love seeing how much I’ve saved!

Leigh Ann D. · July 29, 2011 at 2:35 pm

I went shopping last week & had $60 worth of coupons. I only hope to get better at saving by following your tips. My biggest problem is trying to keep myself from buying something I don’t need just because I have a good coupon for it 🙂

Shannon Alexander · July 29, 2011 at 5:22 pm

I am still pretty new at this. I think my best shopping trip was $85 dollar value for $22. Hoping to get better or at least keep matching that. That did include to boxes of Pampers diapers. Thanks for the giveaway! I am new to your fb page as well!

Fairly new to couponing, recently retired and looking for ways to save money.

Kristi · July 29, 2011 at 9:23 pm

My most memorable shopping trip was when I was just first starting to print and clip coupons. I found a $5 off coupon for the vitamins that I take daily. I printed one at home and one at work. Then, I went to Walgreen’s, where they had the vitamins B1G1 Free. I spent $2.99 on two bottles, when purchased regularly, they are $12.99 each. That is what really opened my eyes to how awesome couponing could be and is.

Charla · July 29, 2011 at 9:46 pm

The first time I used coupons at my local grocery store that doubles and I walked out saving 57%. I can now run between 50-70%, but I had never done couponing before that first time and I was so excited to go home and show my family everything I had gotten and how little I paid. They were in shock and have been on board ever since.

lynn botos · July 29, 2011 at 11:14 pm

my favorite day with coupons is when i had 16 free product coupons for lotion shampoo razors coffee creamer and several free food coupons from framfresh and el monterae. i use double coupons up to 1.00 and store coupons , i wlked out paying nothing they paid me 5.64. now that kroger changed the policy i have not done sience.

Alissa Gilbert · July 29, 2011 at 11:23 pm

I have couponed here and there over the years and have concentrated pretty hard on price comparisons the last couple years and have done my best to also combine a coupon with the sale. These little habits I had learned have now become a necessity in order to ensure bills are paid and to help mow down debt. My most memorable moment regarding saving/couponing would be earlier this week. I was at Walmart and spent almost $75 (which was over budget); but I got enough food for 19 COMPLETE Meals (2 1/2 people, lol); as well as a few appetizers, desserts and beverages. I only used 7 coupons; almost everything was price comparisons!

Mandy DeOrnellas · July 29, 2011 at 11:26 pm

The most memorable one for me was the first time my fiance went with me. He always said I exaggerated my savings lol. So since only 1 store in our area doubles coupons and they only do it twice a week, I decided to bring him along. Since they double a manufactures coupon up to a dollar, and accept competitor coupons, I was able to show him how we saved. We were only shopping for cat stuff and hair care that day though. But I got 8 bottles of shampoo and conditioner for free with my coupons, 4 40lb bags of cat litter(had a $1 manufactures coupon for each plus $1 target coupons that they took and it was on sale) so each bag only cost me 99 cents. And a 12 pack of moist cat food for $1. So my entire trip cost $5. He was shocked. Now he doesn’t complain when I go out on Sundays and buy a huge stack of newspapers.
